Here is my first ever 2 round mock so be nice. Biggest
difference is we may see positions like RB, TE, Safety come off the board in a
big way in round 2 because of the way the position has been valued in the
draft. We also get teams like the Colts, Steelers, Bears, Texans, Bills and
Rams entering the fray. All 32 teams are in the party. TRADES ARE ACTIVE. I have
a total of 11 trades in this one because 2 rounds forces me to value both
rounds as a team would rather than stacking as much assets as I can to get a
team into the fray. I have done a lot of research and have solidified some of
my own opinions from sources like Draft Network, Bleacher Report, ESPN,
NFL.com, and independent twitter scouts and their clips. I have not watched my
own film, so take this with a grain of salt. Just doing it for fun. Let’s get
into it.
1.
Cincinnati
Bengals – QB Joe Burrow, LSU Team Needs: QB, EDGE, iOL, LB
Miami wants to move up. If the price is anything more than 5, 18, 2021
1st and a 2nd rounder then this will be the pick.
2.
Washington
Redskins – EDGE Chase Young, Ohio St Team Needs: WR, CB, OT, TE, CB, iOL
This is more of an obvious selection than
Burrow to Cincy now.
3.
TRADE! Los
Angeles Chargers (from Detroit Lions) – QB Justin Herbert, Oregon Team Needs:
QB, OT, RB
TRADE DETAILS: CHARGERS GET PICK 3, LIONS GET PICK 6, PICK 37, 2021 2ND, 2021 4TH
Chargers need to jump the Dolphins to get
their QB of choice. It is slowly becoming clear that Tua may not be QB2 on
anyone’s boards because they can’t get their Doctors to look at him again
pre-draft.
4.
New York
Giants – OT Tristan Wirfs, Iowa Team Needs: LB, OT, EDGE
I am hearing Simmons here. But they need
to go tackle to protect Daniel Jones and Saquon.
5.
Miami
Dolphins – QB Tua Tagovaiola, Alabama Team Needs: QB, RB, OT, iOL, DT, EDGE, S
I am of the belief that Herbert is the
pick if both are available. But I also think that you may need to move up to
get Herbert. Chargers have to get this pick right more than Miami because of
the ammo MIA has. I don’t believe Love is the pick at 5, and I don’t believe
this will be any other pick besides a QB. He is still an amazing player, no one
knows how long he will be able to play though.
6.
Detroit Lions
(from LA Chargers) – CB Jeffrey Okudah, Ohio St Team Needs: OG, CB, EDGE, DT
Lions will take anything to move out of
this pick. Even though they only pick up an additional 2 this year, it may be
for the best to collect more picks in future years as there is less clarity
this year on players than ever before because of the virus.
7.
TRADE! New
York Jets (from Carolina Panthers) – OT Jedrick Wills, Alabama Team Needs: OT,
WR, iOL, EDGE
TRADE DETAILS: JETS GET PICK 7, PANTHERS GET PICK 11 AND 79, AND A
2021 4TH
Jets don’t have to give up their 2nd or the better of their
2 3rds. They can sit tight and select the best tackle available to them at 11 or
pay a modest price to make sure they get their guy. I am under the belief that
tackle is the pick here or they trade back into the first to select one if they
go WR first.
8.
Arizona
Cardinals – DT Derrick Brown, Auburn Team Needs: DT, EDGE, LB, OT
Birdies are telling us that Brown is the
pick and I don’t want to toot my own horn, but I was banging the table for DT
to be the pick in Mock 1.0 (had Kinlaw because Brown was taken). If Brown goes
at 7, I think they go back to RT and pickup Wills or Wirfs.
9.
Jacksonville
Jaguars – LB Isaiah Simmons, Clemson Team Needs: EDGE, DT, LB, CB, WR, OT, S
Jags may be interested in trading back,
but not if Simmons is available.
10.
TRADE! Miami
Dolphins (from Cleveland Browns) – OT Mekhi Becton, Louisville Team Needs: QB,
RB, OT, iOL, DT, EDGE, S
TRADE DETAILS: DOLPHINS GET PICK 10,
BROWNS GET PICK 18, PICK 56, 2021 2nd from HOU
I believe the Dolphins make a trade up. I
believe they will trade up for a tackle, not a QB. A couple teams like
Jacksonville, Cleveland, and Carolina all are teams that may be looking to
collect quite a few picks. Miami needs to get their LT of the future. I believe
there is a large difference between Becton/Thomas and Jones/Jackson.
11.
Carolina
Panthers (from New York Jets) – DT Javon Kinlaw, South Carolina Team Needs: DT,
CB, LB, iOL
Panthers should be collecting picks. Rumors are that they actually
prefer Kinlaw to Brown and so if they can collect picks and pick their guy.
Win-win.
12.
Las Vegas Raiders – WR CeeDee Lamb,
Oklahoma Team Needs: WR, CB, DT, S
I have now successfully mocked each of
these 3 WRs to the Raiders so I cannot be wrong. I can see them taking all of
these players to be honest. Today I am on Lamb because he provides a true WR1
in the sense of someone who you can trust to come down with the football when
you need a play.
13.
San Francisco
49ers (from Indianapolis Colts) – WR Jerry Jeudy, Alabama Team Needs: CB, WR,
iOL, DT
There is an argument to be had that this
is Ruggs. Shanahan values speed over anything else. Ruggs has that and has
great hands. Jeudy is fast but it’s not even a race. But I go with Jeudy
because of the void that Sanders leaves as a possession player that JimmyG can
rely on to be where he needs to be.
14.
Tampa Bay
Buccaneers – OT Andrew Thomas, Georgia Team Needs: OT, RB
If the Bucs can land one of these guys
without moving up… the only way it happens is if we see a trade up from someone
behind them like Denver or Miami going to get their guy. The players the Bucs
need to see taken ahead of them are of the following: Kinlaw or Henderson, 3
OTs, 3 QBs, 2 WRs.
15.
Denver
Broncos – WR Henry Ruggs III, Alabama Team Needs: WR, OT, CB
Denver will talk to teams about jumping to
that 7-11 sweet spot to get Ruggs, but he is here at 15. It’s a big ask for
them to give up picks considering they don’t have any extra’s but they would to
get Ruggs if they don’t think he will be there.
16.
Atlanta
Falcons – CB CJ Henderson, Florida Team Needs: CB, DT, RB
This pick can be had for the right price. An EDGE needy team that
wants Chaisson like MIN/JAX/PHI. If the Falcons do stay put, Henderson is the
pick. Trufant signing with Detroit leaves a huge void on a team that had a
terrible defense last year to begin with. Henderson is the best man cover
corner in this draft, just not as all-around talented as Okudah.
17.
Dallas
Cowboys – EDGE K’Lavon Chaisson, LSU Team Needs: CB, S, EDGE, iOL
There are enough secondary pieces in the 2nd
that they can pick from the litter there. The EDGE class drop off is steep and Chaisson
has rare athletic traits.
18.
Cleveland
Browns (from Dolphins via Steelers) – OT Josh Jones, Houston Team Needs: OT, S,
LB
The new Cleveland GM is Andrew Berry. But
Paul DePodesta comes from the Sashi Brown tree and he has a loud voice in the
draft room. Sashi loved trading down. Turns out this is great for them, as they
still get a powerful LT to protect Baker and pick up 2 2nds in the process.
19.
TRADE! Indianapolis
Colts (from Raiders via Bears) – QB Jordan Love, Utah St Team Needs: WR, TE, CB
TRADE DETAILS: COLTS GET PICK 19,
RAIDERS GET PICK 34 AND 2021 1ST
JAX, NE, NO, GB. All teams that may have
interest in Jordan Love. If you want your QB nowadays, this is the price you
pay.
20.
Jacksonville
Jaguars (from Los Angeles Rams) – CB Kristian Fulton, LSU Team Needs: EDGE, DT,
CB, WR, OT, S
I’ve heard an interesting comp for Fulton
recently. AJ Bouye. Who the Jags payed top dollar for a few years ago, and just
traded away because his production began to decline. Fulton can be up and down,
but his style fits this system well.
21.
Philadelphia
Eagles – WR Justin Jefferson, LSU Team Needs: WR, CB, S, LB, EDGE
Queen and Murray top the big board for
most here, but Jefferson is a great scheme fit and Philly frankly doesn’t value
LBs in this part of the draft usually.
22.
Minnesota
Vikings (from Buffalo Bills) – CB AJ Terrell, Clemson Team Needs: CB, WR, DT,
iOL, EDGE
Minnesota values tall, long, and strong
corners at the point of attack that play tight man. They cannot find a more
perfect fit than Terrell. Take the big need at corner here and address EDGE,
WR, or one of the many other underrated needs this team has at 25.
23.
TRADE! Baltimore
Ravens (from New England Patriots) – LB Kenneth Murray, Oklahoma Team Needs:
LB, iOL
TRADE DETAILS: RAVENS GET PICK 23, PATRIOTS
GET PICK 28 AND 92
Ravens have the best roster and fewest needs. They have two 3rd
rounders. Murray is THE missing player for this defense. Saints getting pissed
that they missed on Love and now Murray.
24.
New Orleans
Saints – LB Patrick Queen, LSU Team Needs: OG, CB, LB
Saints are very interesting. Very few
needs, so they could address anything. I will keep them going after the local
LB in Queen, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the iOL Ruiz goes here.
25.
Minnesota
Vikings – EDGE Yetur Gross-Matos, Penn St Team Needs: CB, WR, DT, iOL, EDGE
This is a possible trade back spot;
however, I think a lot of the teams in this area will try to trade back. With
the question marks on some players because of the COVID-19 situation, many will
likely try to collect picks for next year and will slide back because this part
of the class is very deep. Having multiple picks between now and the top of the
3rd round is great for roster building. That being said, Minny will
stay put and select the best EDGE on the board and wait on this very deep WR
class. They won’t find a comparable EDGE later.
26.
TRADE! Detroit
Lions (from Dolphins via Texans) – EDGE AJ Epenesa, Iowa Team Needs: OG, CB,
EDGE, DT
TRADE DETAILS: LIONS GET PICK 26, DOLPHINS GET PICK 35 AND 85
Lions trade back from 3 to 6 and pick up
that extra 2nd at 37. They don’t mind parting with 35 and an extra 3rd to get
back up and get a perfect scheme fit for Patricia in the New England defense. Epenesa
isn’t your bendy speed rusher, but this style of defense values a run-stuffing,
pressure getting big man on the edge.
27.
TRADE! Cleveland
Browns (from Seattle Seahawks) – S Xavier McKinney, Alabama Team Needs: OT, S,
LB
TRADE DETAILS: CLEVELAND GETS PICK 27, SEATTLE GETS PICK 41 AND 74
The Browns picked up a 2nd in
their trade back with Miami. So, they trade back up into the first to make sure
they get the top safety on their board and only give up one of their 2 3rd
rounders. McKinney can play deep or can move up and play the slot if they need.
28.
New England
Patriots (from Baltimore Ravens) – DT Ross Blacklock, TCU Team Needs: QB, WR,
EDGE, TE
They have lost more than Brady this
offseason. Danny Shelton, their Nose, Kyle Van Noy, their best pass rusher and
Jamie Collins at LB. They may sit tight and take Murray themselves at 23. But
Blacklock has been excellent when healthy in the Big 12. Addressing that front
seven on defense will be priority #1 for Belichick.
29.
Tennessee
Titans – CB Jeff Gladney, TCU Team Needs: OT, CB, EDGE, DT
There are 4 top 50 or so prospects this
year from TCU. Gladney may be the best of them all. He is a stubborn, feisty
man corner. Tennessee plays tight man coverage and just lost one of their more
underrated players in Logan Ryan at nickel. Gladney can learn the position
there or kick Adoree’ Jackson into nickel as well. Jeff isn’t crazy tall, but
he makes up for it in grit.
30.
Green Bay
Packers – WR Laviska Shenault, Colorado Team Needs: WR, TE, LB
I liked Shenault here in an earlier mock
because this type of a gadget for Rodgers is just what he needs to improve this
offense. If Love falls to 30, they may consider it. But they are still in a
Super Bowl window and need to address weapons for Aaron ASAP. He does have a
medical concern which may have him fall in the draft.
31.
TRADE! Jacksonville
Jaguars – OT Austin Jackson, USC Team Needs: EDGE, DT, LB, CB, WR, OT, S
TRADE DETAILS: JAGUARS GET PICK 31, 49ERS GET PICKS 42, 116, 140 AND 2021 4TH ROUND PICK
(FROM LA RAMS)
This team has so many needs with the
recent upheaval of their roster. Blacklock would’ve been a nice fit here, but
when you trade back into the 1st round you are going for someone you
need to make sure you have locked down for 5 or 6 years. Austin Jackson is
young and raw but has immense room to grow. Safety could be a thought for this
trade, but they took Simmons earlier and he is versatile enough to be tasked
with multiple roles.
32.
Kansas City
Chiefs – RB De’Andre Swift, Georgia Team Needs: CB, LB, iOL, RB
Hearing this is pick is going to be a
weapon for Mahomes. In an abbreviated offseason, the one position that needs to
“adjust” the least is the RB position. Corner is a need, but they have resigned
Breeland and it isn’t as necessary to add now.
33.
Cincinnati
Bengals – iOL Cesar Ruiz, Michigan Team Needs: QB, EDGE, iOL, LB
Bengals get the number 1 player on the board in both rounds. Ruiz is a
versatile player and can succeed at a high level either at center or guard.
Billy Price didn’t pan out a few years ago, but it’s time to retool and get
Burrow surrounded with talent.
34.
Las Vegas Raiders (from Colts via
Redskins) – CB Noah Igbinoghene, Auburn Team Needs: DT, CB, S, WR
Picking up a future 1st rounder
is no small accomplishment, so when you get the chance you jump at it.
Especially when the positions you covet are as deep as the corner and safety
groups this year. Noah is the pick because of his pure speed that Oakland could
use against a guy like Tyreek Hill.
35.
Miami
Dolphins (from Detroit Lions) – RB JK Dobbins, Ohio St Team Needs: QB, RB, OT,
iOL, DT, EDGE, S
They snuck in a last-minute visit to the
team HQ before the mandatory lockdown with Dobbins. Out of every RB, they
called him. He is the 1A to Jordan Howard.
36.
New York
Giants – S Grant Delpit, LSU Team Needs: LB, OT, EDGE
Best player available and a position that
could be upgraded. If we went Simmons in Round 1, this would likely be Isaiah
Wilson from Georgia. Really dark horse pick here is Willie Gay Jr from Miss.
St. But I think everyone in NY would be stoked about this selection.
37.
TRADE! Jacksonville
Jaguars (from Lions via Chargers) – WR Brandon Aiyuk, Arizona St Team Needs:
EDGE, DT, LB, CB, WR, OT, S
TRADE DETAILS: JAGUARS GET PICK 37, LIONS GET EDGE YANNICK NGAKOUE
Yannick is as good as gone, but I think
teams will balk at the price of more than a 1st round pick.
Jacksonville loads up in this draft with 4 top 40 selections. Rebuilding done
right. WR isn’t the biggest need, but if they want to see if Minshew is the guy
it is important to make sure they have the weapons at his disposal. Aiyuk is a
blazer in space and that is one element this offense is missing.
38.
Carolina
Panthers – CB Jaylon Johnson, Utah Team Needs: DT, CB, LB, iOL
With the rebuild underway, I wouldn’t be surprised if they trade out
of all their natural picks. But the need at cornerback is severe. Johnson also
has the ability to play safety and that versatility should be attractive for a
new coach.
39.
Miami
Dolphins – S Ashtyn Davis, California Team Needs: QB, RB, OT, iOL, DT, EDGE, S
Miami has a bunch of new position coaches
including the safeties coach, former Cal defensive coordinator… do you see
where I’m going with this one? Davis will give Miami the ability to put Bobby
McCain back in the slot, and Davis’ speed at free safety will give Miami a
feared defense.
40.
Houston
Texans (from Arizona Cardinals) – DT Justin Madubuike, Texas A&M Team
Needs: EDGE, DT, iOL
The loss of DJ Reader will be a big one if
not replaced by a big body like Justin. Justin isn’t a nose tackle, but does
have a good speed to power game that will be able to free JJ Watt (or
vice-versa) and Co.
41.
Seattle
Seahawks (from Cleveland Browns) – OT Isaiah Wilson, Georgia Team Needs: WR,
EDGE, DT, CB, S, OT, iOL
Seattle’s first pick from their trade down
in the 1st. Isaiah Wilson is a true hog-molly. A big, beefy right
tackle that will fit the run-first style of the Seahawks. Their OL wasn’t good
to begin with and they lost some depth, so addressing the OL is necessary.
42.
San Francisco
49ers (from Jacksonville Jaguars) – CB Trevon Diggs, Alabama Team Needs: CB,
WR, DT, iOL
After picking up 3 fourth rounders in this
trade, they now have the flexibility to move up and down as they please. So, time
to address the glaring need at corner opposite Sherman. Diggs is a former WR (like
his brother), but Saban saw his potential on defense. He is best used in zone,
which the 49ers ran better than anyone else last year.
43.
TRADE! Philadelphia
Eagles (from Bears via Raiders) – EDGE Zack Baun, Wisconsin Team Needs: WR, CB,
S, LB, EDGE
TRADE DETAILS: EAGLES GET PICK 43, BEARS GET PICKS 53, 103, AND 145
Eagles are a team that aren’t afraid to
move up to get their guy. I don’t know if Baun is the perfect fit in this system,
but he is a 1st round player and shouldn’t have fallen this far.
Schwartz used to be in charge of Detroit’s defense who employed similar versatile
players. Baun will be used as a rusher on later downs and can be asked to drop
in coverage as well.
44.
Indianapolis
Colts – WR Denzel Mims, Baylor Team Needs: WR, TE, CB
If this pick comes to reality, what a
draft for Indy. QB of the future and an immediate upgrade at WR. Mims is best
at contested catches and sometimes makes it a little harder on himself because
he doesn’t get great separation. However, he has a great athletic frame (on
paper) and if he can translate that to the game, this is a steal. He is also a
very willing blocker.
45.
Tampa Bay
Buccaneers – RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, LSU Team Needs: OT, RB
Tampa is crushing it. Get their tackle to
protect Brady and now addressing a pass-catching RB for him. The Super Bowl
window is open.
46.
Denver
Broncos – OT Ezra Cleveland, Boise St Team Needs: WR, OT, CB
The 1st rounder spent on Garrett
Boles a few years back was a categorical miss. Can’t go back and change it, so
they fix it by getting an athletic tackle who has been rising up draft boards. Some
can see him popping into the 1st round.
47.
Atlanta
Falcons – RB Johnathan Taylor, Wisconsin Team Needs: CB, DT, RB
Signing Gurley could push the RB pick to the later rounds, but Taylor
is such a good value here. Gurley wants to beat you with speed and athleticism.
Taylor can do that, but he also doesn’t mind running you over in the process.
Neville Gallimore DT from Oklahoma will receive a strong look here.
48.
New York Jets
– WR Jalen Reagor, TCU Team Needs: OT, WR, iOL, EDGE
Jets fans may be pushing for Tee Higgins here, but the tall, less-athletic
WR isn’t sought after by Gase as much as someone like Reagor with quickness and
speed.
49.
Pittsburgh
Steelers – DT Neville Gallimore, Oklahoma Team Needs: DT, iOL, RB
Replacing all of a 6”2 305 lb. Javon
Hargrave is a tall task. Gallimore is 6”2 304 lbs.… just saying. Gallimore isn’t
as good at the read & react game, which is something he will need to learn at
the next level. But he does bring a tenacity to attack the backfield that
Pittsburgh covets in their DL.
50.
Chicago Bears
– iOL Lloyd Cushenberry, LSU Team Needs: iOL, CB, S, TE
After the surprising retirement of Kyle
Long at guard in January, this a great part of the draft to find that 2nd
tier of interior OL (after Ruiz). Cushenberry played a lot of center but may be
better suited for guard at the next level.
51.
Dallas
Cowboys – S Antoine Winfield Jr, Minnesota Team Needs: CB, S, EDGE, iOL
If you can’t believe he lasted this long,
Dallas is right there with you. Injury question marks are the reason, and
without a normal pre-draft process, he fell a little bit. Antoine can play a
true deep safety, but he is also able to move to nickel and cares not for his
own body when going down into the box for a tackle.
52.
Los Angeles
Rams – OT Prince Tega Wanogho, Auburn Team Needs: LB, EDGE, iOL, OT, WR
The Rams will be the worst team in the NFC
West this year. Their roster building idea of trading all of their draft picks
for proven talent was working for the Super Bowl window. But then they decided
they wanted to pay Goff and Gurley and Cooks. Then they realized they needed to
pay Donald, and now Ramsey. They have run out of money. Whitworth is 38 years
old at LT and the team needs to have a plan for when he hangs them up. Here is
their insurance policy.
53.
Chicago Bears
(from Philadelphia Eagles) – S/LB Jeremy Chinn, Southern Illinois Team Needs:
iOL, CB, S, TE
Really love this kid. A true chess piece that
will be able to play safety, nickel, LB, and can rush the passer. A poor man’s
Isaiah Simmons. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he is taken in the late first
round.
54.
Buffalo Bills
– EDGE Terrell Lewis, Alabama Team Needs: EDGE, CB, RB
Terrell has been a stud when on the field.
The issue is that he hasn’t been on the field very often. After acquiring Diggs,
it is time to fill in some of the spots on defense and EDGE lost Lawson and
Alexander this offseason.
55.
Baltimore
Ravens (from New England via Atlanta) – iOL Robert Hunt, Louisiana Team Needs:
LB, iOL
Superficial things like a small school have never distracted the
Ravens from taking rock stars. Hunt played tackle at ULL, but projects to the
guard spot at the next level.
56.
Cleveland
Browns (from Dolphins via Saints) – LB Willie Gay Jr, Mississippi St Team
Needs: OT, S, LB
Prior to the combine, no one was taking
this kid seriously. Then he blew the roof off that dome in Indy with his 40 and
athletic testing. He had some off-field issues that caused him to miss half of
last season, but his athletic prowess is something Cleveland should covet.
57.
Los Angeles
Rams (from Houston Texans) – EDGE Josh Uche, Michigan Team Needs: LB, EDGE, CB,
iOL, OT
Josh Uche had the best pass rush win rate
of all players last year in college. However, it is partially because he had
very limited reps rushing the passer, under 100 reps total. The good thing
about that is that the Rams can use him similar to how Michigan did. Uche can
be asked to rush on later downs and cover on earlier downs. He isn’t as
polished as Zack Baun is, but this position needs to be addressed.
58.
Minnesota
Vikings – WR Tee Higgins, Clemson Team Needs: CB, WR, DT, iOL, EDGE
Diggs’ trade leaves their ability to
stretch the field a little hindered. Higgins is good at just that. He isn’t very
fast but he is good at the contested catch and making sure you get Cousins
another weapon should be of the utmost importance.
59.
Seattle
Seahawks – EDGE Curtis Weaver, Boise St Team Needs: WR, EDGE, DT, CB, S, OT,
iOL
Clowney has yet to sign as of this
writing. They still need to address the position even if he does come back.
Weaver is an odd study. He doesn’t have the body-type or athletic standing to explain
why he is so consistent with getting to the QB. He beats blocks by being very technical,
but he is good for about 8 sacks a year or so.
60.
Baltimore
Ravens – RB Cam Akers, Florida St Team Needs: LB, iOL
This is a true luxury pick but when you are this talented you can do
it. Ingram is now on the wrong side of 30 and can be cut next year to save a
few million and only have a minimal dead cap. Akers could prove to be the best
back in this year’s class. He falls because of how poorly his offensive line at
FSU made him look sometimes.
61.
Tennessee
Titans – OT Lucas Niang, TCU Team Needs: OT, CB, EDGE, DT
As big of a hole Conklin will leave, I believe
Tennessee believes this position can be taken care of with their in-house
talent. However, when you have a guy like Niang that falls due to a late season
injury, you have to take the chance. His tape is very solid and he would probably
be a 1st round draft pick without the injury.
62.
Green Bay
Packers – LB Malik Harrison, Ohio St Team Needs: WR, TE, LB
If Queen or Murray fall to them at 30, I think
that is no doubt the play. But there are a few options for rangy middle of the
field players in this round. Malik Harrison isn’t as sideline to sideline as
Queen or Murray are, but he does give you the tackling and “thumping” power to bring
some fear to the middle of the defense.
63.
TRADE! New
England Patriots (from Chiefs vis 49ers) – QB Jalen Hurts, Oklahoma Team Needs:
QB, WR, EDGE, TE
TRADE DETAILS: PATRIOTS GET PICK 63, CHIEFS GET PICKS 87 AND 92
I have no earthly idea about the Patriots
and what they are going to do. And I know this is a big gap in picks for the
Chiefs, but not having many picks the rest of this draft and getting 2 3rds is
very helpful. I do not believe the Patriots will go for a backup QB this draft
unless one presents itself. Stidham will go into the season as the starter. But
I am generally fearful that Hurts goes here. My fear is making this pick.
64.
Seattle
Seahawks (from Kansas City Chiefs) – DB Kyle Dugger, Lenoir-Rhyne Team Needs:
WR, EDGE, DT, CB, S, OT, iOL
Kyle has Seahawks player written all over him. “Super
try-hard”, “dynamic athlete”, “blue collar attitude” is how some describe him. The
Seahawks defense hasn’t been good since they lost the Legion of Boom. Getting someone
who can play multiple positions whether it be nickel, strong safety, or free
safety, will be incredibly important for a team that used to feature Earl
Thomas. Earl was known for being everywhere on the field and always around the
ball. Kyle played at the D2 level, but was the clear-cut best player in the
country at that level.
