Week 8 Reflections

Howdy Fantasy Lovers, Fantasy Novices, and Fantasy Creatures! Welcome to Fantasy Football 101, where I, Kyle Bazin, will be sharing my opinions, experiences, and advice on Fantasy Football to you all.

Wowzers! Holy great football this past week. A couple of quarterbacks got over 50 points and a certain one-handed crazy man also went stupid. Oh and a rookie is setting some crazy records. I will go over all of these guys and who they are in a second. But right quick, I'd like to give a shoutout to all of my friends who made my 21st Birthday amazing this past weekend, since they read the blog. You guys are the best, let's party this Friday!

The New Orleans Saints and the New York Giants game was so amazing. 52-49 Final and it ended on a 50 yard FG off of a facemask penalty on a punt return. 7 TD's for Brees and 6 for Eli and technically Brees even through 8 because he threw one to the Giants. I saw someone actually lost with a 72 point game from Brees. He played against someone with Brady (42 pts) and OBJ (45 pts).

Speaking of the one-handed wonder, Odell Beckham Jr. catching multiple 2-yard touchdowns... C'mon Eli hand it to a RB or throw it to Vereen more times than one. I'm happy you got one, but I'm greedy. That guy is good, great even. But Eli, you need to be locked in a small closet, where there are no Odell Beckham Jr's of any kind!!!!

Rookies are a huge risk on Draft Day but if you were smart enough to draft Todd Gurley over guys like Jimmy Graham or Davante Adams. Damn, thumbs up man, two pairs of them. In a keeper league, this guy should be kept even if you have Charles, Bell, Antonio, AP, anyone. This guy is the real deal and he is fun to watch. 20+ points in every single game he has started. I am excited for the rest of the year, especially when he plays Seattle.

Waiver pickups:

Don't look now but Ben Watson (TE, New Orleans) has come onto the scene. I think it helps a lot that Brees went stupid this past week, but he is probably worth a pickup if you are in a larger league that maybe doesn't have a ton of good TE's. Hopefully, Brees is back to being Brees and Watson will stay consistent.

The Titans are one of the ugliest teams on paper. But they seem to be committed to the run when the score is close so Antonio Andrews (RB, Tennessee) is an interesting option. I started him in a league this past week and he got me a solid 9.7 for a guy who isn't on the field every play.

Also because of injury people like Deangelo Willaims (RB, Pittsburgh) and Jeremy Langford (RB, Chicago) are smart if you have Forte. Since Leveon is out for the yea, Deangelo should be picked up by anyone who can. Forte probably will be fine, but if you have Forte pick up Langford just in case.

As always, thanks for reading everyone. Again these are all MY OPINIONS! Do not take them as a Bible scripture and do not use my word as the only word. It is OK to make opinions for yourself! I promise! My next blog will be about something that I haven't thought of yet! Look forward to it!
