Week 9 Reflections

Howdy Fantasy Lovers, Fantasy Novices, and Fantasy Creatures! Welcome to Fantasy Football 101, where I, Kyle Bazin, will be sharing my opinions, experiences, and advice on Fantasy Football to you all.

Starting off this blog, I'm gonna throw one out to my poor boy "Scuba Diver". The poor guy lost with 171 points... The guy had Antonio Brown, Brees, AP, Shady, Dez and still lost. He played a guy that had Lamar Miller, Deangelo, Dalton, Eifert, Cobb... I feel for him, man. That's going to be the 4th largest score in this league so far and he is going to lose to the guy with the 2nd largest score in the league. For anyone that has the pain of scoring over 150 points and losing, I feel for you. It's truly unjust and unfair. The U.S. Government needs to step in and take action because people deserve a fair playing field and I will not stand for atrocities like this to go on! Hopefully, all of you had a great week 9 of football, let's get into this.

Antonio Brown... I wanna grow up to be him someday. Well, maybe not him exactly because he gets hit by large men for a living, but seriously that guy is stupid good. He was 52 receiving yards from breaking the all-time receiving record in a game. He had 284 yards!!!! 17 receptions! And you're gonna tell me that he didn't get into the end zone at all??? This guy came out and straight balled. Welcome back, Big Ben! Oh, wait you're gone already? *Antonio owners tear up* Landry Jones is good, but he doesn't have the connection that Ben has with him, that when Ben needs anything Antonio will get it done. Yes, he had a huge 52-yard catch to seal the game for the Steelers from Jones, but that was a 10-yard pass and a 42-yard run. Big difference there. Oh, yeah and this guy named Deangelo Williams... He is pretty good at filling in for Leveon Bell... Over 180 yards on the ground with 2 TD's? Check please!

I LOVE the Raiders right now! They're travelling East and competing with teams that are hunting for a playoff spot! Derek Carr is playing awesome and the defense is playing very well with guys like Khalil Mack and Charles Woodson to lead them! Amari Cooper has come in and been a stud and Michael Crabtree has decided which part of the Bay Area he likes better, I'm not forgetting about one of the only true 3-down backs in the NFL anymore. Latavius Murray is a stud and I like him long-term fantasy for years to come. All of these players I mentioned are good enough to be on your fantasy team and just because it says OAK next to their name isn't a good enough reason to not have them anymore.

Waiver wire pickups:

This week won't be as exciting as last for sure. With a few key injuries last week, you were able to pick up and start a few guys like Deangelo, Langford, Malcolm Floyd or Stevie Johnson. This upcoming week shouldn't be looked at as highly.

He is worth looking at as a possible stash for a late playoff run, but Vernon Davis (TE, Denver) could shine in this Denver offense. This past week Owen Daniels caught a TD but, I see Davis as more of a yards guy anyway. The TD's are still gonna go to the RB's and Demaryius and Emmanuel, but Davis could see some nice action near the end of the year. Also when Austin Sefarian-Jenkins (TE, Tampa Bay) returns back from injury for the Bucs, I could see him having a nice end of the year as well.

One guy that may still be on waivers for some of you is Nate Washington (WR, Houston). The past 2 games he has had over 70 yards a touchdown. I understand that Hopkins is the guy and will continue to be the guy for the Texans but their defense isn't helping them out at all and I think that they will always need to throw. In a league with multiple WR's, he might be a sneaky play.

As always, thanks for reading everyone. Again these are all MY OPINIONS! Do not take them as a Bible scripture and do not use my word as the only word. It is OK to make opinions for yourself! I promise! My next blog will be about overcoming season-ending injuries or busts.
